We celebrate New Year on the 31 of December. Me and my mother decorate our flat. Father does the New Year shopping. My mother and grandma make yummy, traditional dishes. I like the part when I decorate the New Year tree with baubles and tinsels. Then my parents put my New Year gifts under the tree. On New Year all the family gathers in the living room. We set a big table with lots of lovely dishes, sweets, and drinks. We fill the glasses with champagne and wish Happy New Year to each other.

The next morning I find my gifts under the New Year tree. This is a very pleasant moment. We visit our relatives and friends to wish them Happy New Year. I like this holiday really much. It makes all children happy especially when it snows in New Year.
I wish peace, wellness, and happiness for all families in the coming New Year.

It is winter. It’s cold in winter.  Sometimes it snows in winter. Children often play snowballs, make a snowman and have fun. The winter months are: December, January, February.  English people celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December. They love this holiday very much. They buy Christmas presents for their families. They send Christmas cards to their relatives and friends. They decorate the Christmas tree. It is bright and beautiful. They put their presents under the tree. Children put their stockings on the chair. At night Santa Claus comes and puts presents in their stockings. They eat Christmas pudding or Christmas cake. 

Armenians celebrate Christmas on the 6^th of January. We see the New Year in on the 31 of December.

Ann: Hi mum.

Mother: How are you honey?

Ann: Fine, and you?

Mother: I am ok. Are you at school? What are you doing?

Ann. Yes, I am at school. We are having a lesson now.

Mother: Are you having English lesson?

Ann: No. We are doing a Maths test. And I’m writing right now.

Mother: Okey dear, I am going for shopping. Please call me after school.

Ann: Well mum. Have a great day. See you then.
